Link parameters for engineers, ERP and AI assistants
Every input can be set in the web address, so a link opens the exact result. Use it to save a search, send it to a colleague or let an AI assistant find a spring for you.

How to measure a compression spring
- L₀
- Free length: the length without load.
- L, F
- Target length: the compressed length when installed, where the spring must give the force F.
- Do
- Outer diameter. Must be smaller than the hole the spring sits in.
- Di
- Inner diameter. Must be larger than the rod the spring runs over.
- d
- Wire diameter.
- Dm
- Mean diameter through the centre of the wire: Dm = Do − d.
Replacing a spring? Measure an unloaded spring with a calliper and count the coils. Not sure? Send us a photo with a ruler next to the spring.
